Plug ins, just like Batman's utility belt make wordpress the world's favorite blogging platform. In other words, both geeks and corporations love it. First timers who aren't afraid when they see this:

Not all the templates are free, there are "PRO" or "Premium" designs that cost money but are fully customizable, as long as you don't feel extremely nervous when you see:

But today's lesson is not about designs because you can simply select from the thousands in Wordpress's template gallery. No sir. What you need to know are the powerful plug ins that are required for most Wordpress blogs.
Trivia: Almost all of the worlds top 20 blogs are run using Wordpress. The only exceptions are the official Google blogs w/c are using Blogger.
So, let's talk plug ins. What are they again? They extend, add to, increase the capability of Wordpress.
So Batman was driving one night and found Mr Freeze was robbing a museum.
He takes his "Anti-Freeze Capsule and clips it on his belt. He then adds the "auto-quick-defrost lining to his costume before heading out - just in case he got hit by Mr Freeze's ice ray.
But when Batman goes against other anti-heroes, he doesn't bring the these capsules, he brings other things. He's called "customizable". Spiderman uses his wits and web. Batman, uses PLUGINS!

7. LinkWithin - a way to display" Please visit these other related posts in this blog". Essential to make your blog go to #1 in Google/Search Engines.
